The Complete Trip

On Tuesday, we learned how to make stir-fry and egg roles. The stir-fry took longer to make then the egg rolls. We used sharp knives to cut up the vegetables for the stir-fry and egg roles.

The egg rolls were very fun to make, but once we were done cutting and frying the vegetables, we had to wrap the vegetables in a certain wrap and use sauce to make the wrap stay together.

After we wrapped the egg roles, John deep fried them.

It took a very long time to cook the stir fry, because first we had to put grape seed oil after every time we had to put a new ingredient in. For the chicken we had to flip the chicken many times to make each side equally cooked. We had to put grape seed oil in between every one of the three times we had to put chicken in. The order of vegetables put in are from hardest to softest because the softest would lose their taste quick and so they would have to put in the pot last. The final results of the egg roles and the stir-fry were.

She explained about nutrition facts, food portion sizes, moderation and a bunch of other stuff. Goals that I am trying to accomplish consist of looking at what I am eating more carefully. Spread out my portions and not eat really fast. I'm going to try to look more into the nutrition of things for example,
  • fibers
  • carbs.
  • saturated fat
  • trans. fat

Those thin like that really make a difference in your moods, the way you look, and the way you feel.

Welcome to Food in Chicago!

Welcome to the Food in Chicago project week website! Before project week begins, I want to know what your favorite restaurants are. Post a comment with the following information:

1. The name of at least one of your favorite restaurants
2. Why you like this restaurant
3. What your favorite dish there is
4. Why you think the rest of us should eat there

I've written a sample comment as an example.

We will use this list to help us create a Latin version of the television show "Check Please." If you haven't seen the show, check out their website and find out when it is showing so you can watch an episode or two before April 24th.

Trivia Question: Do you know where (in Chicago) the diner in the photograph above is located?
